Here's, step by step, how a project with VitraCare unfolds, from first contact to installation.
Step 1: taking measurements
Everything starts with your windows' measurements. Two options: you send us the dimensions yourself, or we come and take them ourselves at your home. This visit is free in Brussels; outside Brussels, it costs €50. Full details are on our measurement visit page.
Step 2: the quote
Based on these measurements, we prepare a detailed quote, free and with no obligation — whichever option you chose in the previous step. The price depends on the type of film, the total surface area, and how accessible the windows are; our article on pricing explains the calculation in detail. Step 3: choosing the film
This is also when you choose the film that suits your needs. Step 4: the appointment and installation
Once the film is chosen and the quote accepted, we schedule an appointment for installation. The work is done in a single visit, with no heavy renovation: the film is applied directly to the inside face of the glazing, without touching the frame or the window itself. It doesn't damage your windows, and stays fully reversible if you change your mind later. How long it takes depends on the number and size of your windows — we give you a precise estimate with the quote. The installation itself is guaranteed for 2 years by our technical team.
After installation: lifespan and maintenance
Once installed, the film has an estimated lifespan of 10 to 15 years. The only thing to watch out for is the first month: avoid cleaning or touching the window during this period, the time the film needs to fully adhere — any small air bubbles disappear on their own.
