Matte white film answers a different need from mirror effect film: total privacy, in both directions, at any time, regardless of the light outside or inside. It's the most reliable solution for a room where privacy can never afford to slip, whatever the time of day.
Unlike mirror effect film, how it works doesn't depend on light levels on either side of the window. It frosts the glass permanently: the view is blocked in both directions, continuously, day and night. This is the key difference to understand before choosing between the two films: mirror film reverses in the evening, matte white never does.
In exchange for this constant privacy, the view through the window is blurred in both directions: you let light in, but no longer a clear view, neither from inside nor from outside.
It's the best choice for a bathroom, a conservatory, a glazed front door, or any room where you want to let light in without ever being visible, at any time. It also gives a clean, elegant look, appreciated on contemporary façades as well as indoors.
We currently focus on homeowners and renters: houses and flats. For an office or a shop, feel free to contact us anyway, but this isn't our main focus yet today.
Installation happens in a single visit to your home, directly on your existing windows, with no removal or replacement of the glazing. It's carried out by our collaborator, generally on the interior side of the glass, for an optimal lifespan estimated at 10-15 years, covered by a two-year warranty. Our article on the different steps explains the full process, from measurements to installation.
There's no fixed price listed: the cost depends on the total surface area to be treated and how accessible the windows are. That's why we always draw up a personalised, free, no-obligation quote. Our article on pricing explains what affects the cost.

Yes, that's exactly the advantage over a curtain or closed shutter: the room stays bright, only the clear view is blocked in both directions. That's very different from a room darkened by permanently closed shutters.
Mirror effect film only works during the day and reverses in the evening if the inside is lit. Matte white film blocks the view permanently in both directions, day and night, but it also blurs the view from inside, which mirror film doesn't do.
Yes, this is one of the most common uses: a ground-floor bathroom, or one exposed to being overlooked, gets guaranteed privacy at any time, without ever having to close a shutter or curtain.
No, our rate depends only on the surface area to be treated, not on the film chosen. Our complete guide to choosing your film compares the 4 available tints.
